You might be right, but I guess the Triforce is more recognisable. The “Go faster” star-like symbol from “Twilight Princess” would’ve been a nice one to.

Your comment reminds me of one of the first quests in the starting area of the Death Knight in World of Warcraft, where you have to steal a horse. You can also steal a foal and it looks pretty funny when you ride on it with a very tall character.

While Epona in MLP-form has been done, the facial expressions alone really MAKE this one hilarious.

Well, she is an earth-pony, (which are physically stronger then pegasi & unicorns) so she might be able to carry him, only it’d be awkward/silly-looking due to how tall he is.  
Better go to the Temple of Time, and become Young Link.
