I can live with that! Besides, what good would being the Queen of the Changeling Horde if you couldn’t take everything the Ponies could throw at you?
I’ve often debated with myself how strong her carapace really is. My one headcanon has it so she has both an outer carapace/exoskeleton, but also a hollowed-out (think bird skeletons) interior skeleton. Both sound pretty fragile, but can make her quite durable when put together :)
