I thought Id give this a shot. Dont have a horse wife so I just used my ponysona instead. Turned out a lot differently than expected
how could anyone possibly predict that, without meta-knowledge? so unrealistic.
So the answer is to be edgy and smug about it? No one has EVER gone ‘Oh, this is an abusive relationship, what a dork. I better make fun of them. I know exactly what’s going on so I’m going to stay near the person willing to beat the shit out of me or probably even kill me’. No, the fucking author decided to make an anti-template and decided to be edgy because ‘His oc is just that cool’.
Or because she realized it turned into an abusive unhealthy relationship. Not everyone who is abused goes along with it.
Meta-knowledge, countering the meme because they supposedly know the name of the game and therefor are able to repress emotions of an obviously existing relationship and completely negate any realistic reaction. I.E. not affected by being attacked or broken up with because they know ultimately it’s just gonna end in something the writer is okay with anyways. One of the worse of it’s kind I think.
