I couldn’t get into Madoka Magica because I was just weary of deconstructions and dark stories and so on.
That’s part of the reason I enjoyed Shin Mazinger and Gundam Build Fighters. They were fun in comparison to, say previous Gundam series or that Mazinkaiser SKL.

Give the movie a chance when you have time. For the sounds of it you might like it more than the show. Just make sure is Rebellion. The show has 3 movies. The first 2 are just an abridged version of the series.
I’m not gonna say that it (Madoka), was a bad show or anything. It just didn’t really float my (nice), boat as such. I just wish I knew of more batsh– Crazy chicks like Shion & Rena (Higurashi) or the ultimate in crazy Yunno. I guess that must be why I love Pinkamena so damend much! Party of One is probably the best Episode in the entire Show. IMHO.

Well yeah just search up Madoka Magica Rebellion Story. Be warned the first part of the movie is pretty much throwing every single cliche in the book. It makes sense why they did that later.
Well Kyubey just looks for girls he knows won’t say no and or the ones that will fall in to despair the fastest. That’s his job. Look for a girl who’s boyfriend is dying, look for a girl who literally is dying, or look for with really low self-esteem. Or look for a cancer patient…. which he actually did. He is the one responsible for the hospital thing by the way and might have something to with the car accident that Mami’s family had. And really he is kinda of ass.
That’s an interesting question…. but for that to happen the girl has to know about it first. And if she knew she would have to be really powerful. Remember Madoka was able to wish to destroy every witch because she basically had the potential of becoming God. If Sayaka wish for the same it probably wouldn’t work.
And yeah that’s doesn’t stop Mirai Nikki from being kick ass. I just like to judge anime by their merits. Also I’m trying really hard to not be bias towards Madoka here. XD
Well I never said I wasn’t interested in the Movie. Now I’m kinda wondering how it continues Does Madoka somehow cheat death (as such…), and gets to return back to her world again?
Really though the only thing that irked me was the raw deal everyone gave Kyubey. Its not like he was holding a Gun to any of those Girls Heads. I do wonder though how he’d had reacted if someone were to have wished to be “immune” to the Dark Energy thing. Thus they could still be killed off as such… (And likely would have been too!) But, they’d never have to fear turning into a Witch. As they called them in the Show.
P.s. When the premise is about killing Magical Girls. I for one fail to see how it differs much from either Higurashi, or Umineko. Other then those had better older, and well worked stories. Given that Mirai Nikki was in essence a huge Battle Royal with a yandere twist coincided it may well be a somewhat different genre. Doesn’t stop it from being a kick ass ride though.

Well the movie is the continuation of the show. Not sure if you are going to watch it seeing the way you talk about the show.
Wait so the show is only “muh tier” because you seen better animes of different genres before? Wut?
That’s like saying. Full Metal Alchemist is ok. But I seen Cow Boy Bebop.
Come on. It has cute characters, a dark story, unexpected plot twist, yuri, an amazing sound track, destroys pretty much every Magical Girl cliche, and has butt load of symbolism and references to Faust. Maybe you just don’t like magical girl shows? Ever tough of that?

No I haven’t seen the Movie. TBH although I should have expected it. I was not aware of its existence till you just mentioned it. I just wonder if its any less annoying then then the TV Show.
I’m sorry but, had I gotten to this befor say Higurashi, Umineko or Mirai Nekki. Then I might have had a softer spot for it. as it is those compared to those Shows. Its thoroughly muh-tier….

But seriously I don’t know. I literally like everything about the anime. I consider it the best anime ever. But hey people have different opinion and taste. It turns out most have the ones opposite to yours.
