I don’t blame you. Meanwhile, consider Hellsing Ultimate like FMA Brotherhood; there’s a story with its own set of original ideas, and there’s one based on the manga.
 
…I think that’s how Hellsing Ultimate is like, anyways.

I guess I thought (from watching the first Episode), that Hellsing was gonna be more of a gothic horror story, then just another comical Big F’n Guns Anime. Nothing wrong with that mind you. It just wasn’t what I was expecting it to be, and I hate getting my hopes up so much to just be thrown off like that.

Ultimate’s a set of OVAs that are a step above what you’ve seen, if not a similar-but-better version of Hellsing.
 
There’s an abridged series that updates around Halloween which is super hilarious; 4 episodes at the moment.

I never heard of “Ultimate”… So I guess I’m speaking of the TV Show…

Actually now that I think about it Elfin Lied was ok. it was Hellsing that was a total disappointment. I kinda liked Elfin Lied up to that sick Pedo. Who as I seem to recall managed to survive. :|

Thanks I already saw that… IMHO I have the same feeling of being let down in the same way I thought Hellsing was going to be good, and wasn’t. Shame that Gantz didn’t go on any longer. But, given how the Manga ended… It was probably just as well that it ended where it did. And let us not bring up School Days… Way to much drama even there was a nice boat at the end…
