I think the difference for most people here is, Flash had screen time and lines and what not (at least his human counterpart does anyway) and people just translate the hate for him into hate for his pony version. Which I completely agree with @Ninoyiya  
and @SRD639 he doesn’t deserve at all. His human counterpart doesn’t either but I understand that a bit more.
