Shipping idea, Celestia despises Discord because he stood her up at the alter. Luna found out, being Celestia’s sister, was majorly PO’d at him as well.
Discord laughed before being imprisoned in stone because he didn’t believe Celestia had it in her to do the job.

Both you guys have good points, and Discord does have more history with the Royal Sisters than with Cadence. Only makes more sense he make amends with Celestia and Luna since they used to be bitter enemies, and he did temporarily return to being their sworn enemy when he sided with Tirek.
Make amends with them, gets back in everyone’s good graces again, especially now that he’s really learned a lesson in friendship.

The scene was vague enough that it could potentially please both sides of the argument, but… well… people do love to argue, right?
Example: I ship Dislestia like fuggin’ FedEx, but I still saw the scene as more of a sentimental apology as opposed to a romantic gesture.

Good point. The Royal Sisters were the ones that originally imprisoned him, so Discord needs to make amends with them since they rule Equestria after defeating him, and Celestia was the one that employed him to hunt down Tirek after all.
because camera zoom was too big, though for their defence they did show all of them a second before that scene. Maybe they were trying to animate less characters and assume that we know they are next to eachother.
Cadance on the other hand is a minor princess and cant judge Discord. He doesnt need to suck up to her.
What about Cadence? She was standing there with Celestia and Luna as well.
As I said before, if they wanted to be more clear that Discord’s actions here were meant as a token of apology and good will towards both Celestia AND Luna, they could have, at least, shown both princesses as he handed out the bouquets.
