Description

“Something kind of interesting I realized a while ago:

Most of the time in western lore, a princess and a dragon are enemies.

Not here though. Here the princess and the dragon are family.”

While its true she’s not the best example of a big sister most of the time, going the other extreme and saying there’s nothing but a business-like relationship isn’t right either. She does care about him and worries about his safety, she’s just terrible at showing it most of the time because of how much the writer’s outlook on his character has changed. Ie the slapstick would be harder to pull off if his “big sister” was always constantly about him.

Personally, I don’t see their relationship that way, they sleep in the same room, Twilight sometimes acts like a doting older sister to him like when he acts up she gets on his case, they’re together almost all the time, she hatched him, he has him do chores like a mother would have her kid do, they’ve lived together for so long and Twilight is practically his legal guardian since Spike is still a baby dragon. She’s pretty much raising the little guy on her own at this point. I view them as family personally and I don’t see it as a business relationship. That’s the way I look at it.
