Description

I wanted to try something different with my art.
So last weekend I went into an art supply store in Paris, and picked up a Brush Pen, some markers, and a new sketch pad.
I wanted to compare the two styles using the same pony.
The Lyra on the left was outlined with Black Pitt artist pens, and colored with colored pencils.
The Lyra on the right was outlined with the Brush Pen, and colored with the markers.
I think I like the smoother and bolder lines of the brush pen but the color of the pencils best.
I don’t have the best variety of colors for in both the pencils or the markers so i have to just make due with what i have.
I am not a fan of the ink that came with the brush pen.
My first test showed that it would smudge beyond recognition from erasing the pencil lines underneath, and bleeds into the marker.
I am going to see if i can find a refillable cartridge that will fit and fill it with India ink and try that, The Pitt pens i have are India ink and they do not bleed or smudge.
Cleaned up in ViewNX 2 & assembled in GIMP 2
As always Feedback and Tips appreciated.
I would really appreciate a critique of both the overall pony and of the different styles.
