Yes, but after erasing the derped eyes, she tries to redraw them, but they end up derped again. Also, she it’s too awkward for her to ask somepony else to draw the eyes for her.

Actually, this is how Derpy got her cross-eyes. The artist left her unfinished, including her eyes, so she had to draw them in herself. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a mirror nearby, so she couldn’t check her work…
