The more i see this the more i think rarity is dead, and dash is just remembering the wedding or some high-society ball they went to as a couple. Especially since rarity’s face in the picture on the table looks like her face right before she kisses dash.

God, it’s like you DON’T want to enjoy anything these days…

My biggest complaint about this is the fact that Rainbow Dash is wearing a fancy dress in the fantasy.  
Given her tomboyish personality, it is far more likely that she’d be imagining herself in a tuxedo or something.
 
Still, this is both adorable and well-made, and certainly deserves the number of upvotes that it has received.

Regardless, I must say no, there’s simply isn’t any way this image’s version of Dash has any foundation in the show’s actual portrayal of her. She may have a sentimental side, but she’s nowhere near this feminine even on her softest days.

I dunno about that, Dash seems to be really good at hiding her feelings, remember in The Last Roundup when she started to cry and then tried to hold it back and wasn’t able to and got upset when others saw her crying? I like Dash being really soft on the inside but too afraid to show who she really is because she’s afraid others will make fun of her or take advantage of her. It would also explain why someone like her is friends with Flutters; Dash sees herself being just like FS on the inside and can relate to her and would also explain why she can be protective of her too.

I really don’t consider this too OOC for Rainbow Dash.  
She’s been shown to have a soft side (when nopony’s looking), and she’s been shown to be rather obsessive at times.
