I think that’s just iTunes, though. I suspect it takes awhile for new episodes to become available.
 
I’d also imagine that there’s the whole “first broadcasting rights” thing. I wonder if there’s a certain timeframe that the Hub won’t allow partnering entities like iTunes to release the episode within.
 
I’m wondering if the same sort of thing will happen with S2 of Gravity Falls later this year.

I wouldnt be surprised if Hasbro kinda intentionally doesnt want episodes to be uploaded.
 
I mean, they have the Hub which lets be kinda honest, is surviving solely on FiM and they need the views and subscriptions so they can increase their profits.
 
The thing is, Hasbro has our balls now. Yes, they started out with no crowd so they allowed free advertising for the toys (which they make most of the profits) during S1-S3. But with the growth of popularity of FiM, it sounds reasonable from a business perspective to also try and make money off from the Hub and online distributers.
 
Also, remember episodes like Wonderbolts Academy where they were leaked on iTunes before the Hub aired it? Yeah, maybe that ‘frightened’ the Hub because then people saw the Youtube version for free and didnt watch it on the Hub.
 
So yeah, i dont think the other companies are really to blame here… But it’s understandable if you thing of it like a business, I guess.

You know what you can do? Buy those iTune gift cards online if you live outside the US and purchase/support the show.
 
The only thing possibly stopping you is that you’re paying slighlty more for the gift card (cuz the sellers gotta make some profit) and Hasbro has become dick-ish to the people who paid a season pass on iTunes or wherever and have to wait an additional two daysafter the episode premiered on Saturday.

In all seriousness, I think it’s because of local laws and agreements with companies that air the episodes. It’s really hairy, the way I understand it.

During a cursory search, I think I’ve answered your question for you, OP. The very reason that episode is no longer online is because you can purchase it from “HasbroEpisodes” for $1.99 USD. I’m not sure if that’s just the U.S., regional or worldwide.
 
It’s likely Hasbro has taken down all the fan-uploaded versions.
