The horn should be covered by a TON of padding
If she trow her right punch along with her right leg then she will have none of the hip twist only the inertia of her body weight and in order to transmit said inertia she would have to twist her punch along with the movement, if that was the case the back of her hand should be facing us instead of her thumb. It would be a light-medium punch at best and probably would hurt her wrist.

yeah, thats why she had to time it perfectly for it to work.
It takes a lot longer to throw though and if your opponent doesn’t walk into it, it leaves you with both an open head and a backwards stance.

Now I’m not a boxing expert, so if anypony else has some thoughts on this, please share! Ahem: Wouldn’t that fact that her opponent has a horn complicate things a bit? I mean, for pony boxing in general. I could imagine it interfering, especially with a crouching Unicorn. Most Unicorn horns aren’t all that sharp, but it’s still a big, dull spike of bone sticking out of their foreheads.

well its hard to tell from one pic, but her whole punch movement was actually like this.
Starting off with left foot and left arm forward, she pulled back with her right arm and jolted forward with her right leg at the same time, twisting her upper body, and just before her right leg hit the ground, she punched with all her might, untwisting her entire body. Thats why her guard is kinda not there and her hips and arm are parallel. Its actually a more karate styled punch, using her entire body to land one killing blow.
