And the “Royal Guard” would be replaced by a cadre of bikini-armored pony-amazons. Just as well. The old guards can clean the floors, since it isn’t like they’re good for much anyway.

I fail to see a problem here, this would have been funny as hell.

Considering their ruler(s) are effectively immortal, I can’t blame them for not having one, or at least completely forgetting about it.
It’s the same problem they have in Transformers, really. Notice how quickly the Autobots fall apart if Optimus Prime isn’t around?
