The Rainbow of Light that annihilates Tirek is actually Mr. Moochick’s, as an example of the magic at his disposal.
He’s been partially responsible for defeating a lot of the villains with the magic and knowledge he gives the ponies.
Too small to be a dwarf, he’s quite clearly a gnome. And a powerful one at that.
I’m not sure Moochick’s species was ever clarified. If I had to guess, I’d say gnome.
Or is he just a gnome?
