If the comic book staff writes it…
He was a loser comic book fan stand-in who got himself together and successfully wooed Mrs. Sparkle.

We just need to know what Twilight’s father does and we have a really famous family.
Dash: “Wait, your mom wrote Daring Do!?”
Twilight: “Didn’t you see the author?”
Dash: “I didn’t think that Twilight Velvet was related to you in any way!”
And then Dash finds out that one of Fluttershy’s parents is a former Wonderbolt.
The question is, did the character card come out before or after RIaW aired? Depending on this Velvet may be confirmed to be the Daring Do writer in the show itself, not just the comic.
I dunno man. The comic goes back in forth between the show writers and Hasbro constantly. If it was false and out of character, they would’ve had it taken out one of the many times they’ve reviewed.
I’m still skeptical. Until we get a confirmation from the actual show runners, then this is merely a coincidence, or a joke the comic writers made and definitely not canon.
