Perhaps I have selective vision, but I have yet to ever see a PC elitist post about pc being superior to consoles FIRST. It seems to be the most common occurrence is something like this, where console games are PREEMPTIVELY telling pc gamers to shut up.
In any case it seems to be the case where both sides are correct but can’t see the truth in the other.

“>Sure your games are cheaper, but you have to have a good PC to run them at optimal performance. More on this on the next point.”
False.
“>An Xbox 360 will cost under £300. It will run any game you put in it.”
A PC that can run almost any game on the market can cost $500. It will do more than just play any game you put in it, and it would be much more powerful than an xbox 360.
“>Your choice of operating system is a weird point. You have Windows, Mac and Linex, we have Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.”
On the same machine? You can have any of those three OS’s on your PC. You can have all of those OS’s on your PC. You can partition to have all three, you can run VMs. You also get to choose what software runs on your OS.
And you also have your choice of Linux distro. Take your pick, there are dozens of them.
“>Modding is only good in some cases, like Minecraft. You know what else is easy on a PC? Cheating.”
Oh, man, you got me there. I sure can’t play any of these games because too many people are cheating. It’s not like the most competitive games in the world are ruined by cheating, like Dota2, LoL, SC2 and all that.
Yes, modding is only there for some games, but virtually any game that allows it, has it. I should mention that it’s also completely optional, like most decisions you make when going PC.
“>FPS isn’t really a big deal. If a game goes under 20fps, there is a problem. However, while there is a difference between 30 and 60 FPS, that’s it. Slightly Smoother gameplay. Wow. Sign me up now.”
Crucial when it comes to competitive play. Just saying.
“>You can have that point on Emulation for free.”

“>Building a PC may a cheaper route, but it’s a pity not everyone has the technical know how. One screwup and your PC is screwed.”
Get someone to do it. Or, do your research. Believe it or not it’s not very hard to build one, and there are many tutorials online, sometimes step by step, on how to do it.
It’s worth it in the end. Otherwise, it’s your loss.
“>Surround sound systems are available for consoles as well you know. Arguably easier as well since they are linked to your TV.”
As I have just said, that consoles are able to do this. Except, no, surround sound systems aren’t just linked to your TV–you are better optimized getting an AMP of some sort. Which you can also do on a PC.
Now, try a desktop DAC/AMP with USB connection for your crazy ATH or Beyer headphones. Can’t do that on consoles.
@bojackoutlaw
So, Electronics Arts, which is basically confirmed to be the devil of videogame corporations, ruined console gaming because they wouldn’t let you use certain features of a game without paying for them?
Leems segit.
I used to be a big console gamer up until 2 years ago. I went down to gamestop to buy a copy of Kingdoms of Alamar. I tried to get the used copy but the guy at the counter said I would be better off getting a new copy.
“Why” I asked.
“Because EA being the evil corporation it is, their going to charge you 10 more dollars to unlock some parts of the game.” he replied.
“Screw that I!” I exclaimed.
And waited until KOA went for sale on steam and got it for $20.
I have a xbox 360, ps3, wii, wiiu,nes, Atari flashback 4, a high end PC, and a ps4 when it comes out. The only reason I get consoles now if they have a exclusive I want to play. Next gen ps4 has killzone SF, and Destiny witch I hope it is all that it’s hyped up to be.
@zee66
that chart is wrong.
Deadpool, fuse and hitman are on the PC.
PC also seems to have a whole lot of MMO and Strategy REALLY lacking in diversity.

@zee66
We get it, you get more enjoyment talking of the PC, now plese try a console and see if you enjoy it to where you don’t have to clam it’s the better.\
As long as you have to make clams that the PC is better your doing something wrong if you can’t enjoy it on it’s own.
@ThatRandomGuy42
>Thinking it’s just graphics
>Thinking Crysis 3 is the only game on PC
Time to pull Fluffle’s hoof out of my mouth. Ahem.
Well, you are open to the largest library of video games of the four main platforms for one… That are also generally cheaper and can get for pretty cheap during frequent sales throughout the year.
They run as effectively as you want them to, catered to the build of your PC.
You have your choice of operating system, your choice of software, your choice of peripherals (you are not limited to controllers). You can multimonitor, use an effective dac/amp with a good pair of headphones, or use a good surround sound system like a console. You are open to good peripherals like precision mice or mechanical keyboards.
Most games on PC, including multiplats, get additional benefits such as the ability to mod.
You are not stuck with 720p (including PS4’s upscaled 1080p from 720p).
You can have higher FPS and are not restrained to console’s 30 fps. Trust me when I say there’s a big difference.
You can emulate older console games.
You can build a decent gaming PC from $500.
If hardware meets an issue, you can simply replace that part instead of sending in your whole PC. It’s also a lot better if you build it yourself, cost wise and you are able to know what goes wrong if something does.
