@d715
You do realize that the comic itself specifically tells you to not take it seriously, right? It’s not glorifying anything, it’s just for laughs. Cheap laughs, maybe, but laughs nonetheless.
@TenchiFreak5
I think the problem is more that it takes a smart chairing woman in power, and turns her into a stupid, rapist who only really cares about herself. And the comic more or less glorifies her for doing this.
Yes yes she “cares” about Twi and Luna.
And the thing is this portray has been overridden the canon version, after all what set this out was a little girl staying that Celestia rapes ponies. That’s rare, I don’t think there has ever been a fanon personal doing this.
But the bottom line is the blog has gotten old, the joke’s unfunny and ran its course. JJ needs to do something new and if this makes him good. Because he’s too lazy to do it himself.
yes JJ is a lazy LAZY artist, he can do much better if he tries or wants to.
The difference between the two is that most people are actually capable of understanding that the real rape of real people (and even joking about the real rape of real people) is legitimately bad, and a cartoon horse goofily sexually assaulting other cartoon horses mixed in with nerdy video game jokes doesn’t count as real rape because it’s not so who gives a fuck (rhetorical question. Feel free to not answer it) if they laugh at it.
You’re basically making a Jack Thompson-esque “Murder Simulators trained my kid to shoot up a school argument” and spreading it across 3 different comment sections (though strangely enough, not the one for the picture drawn by the person against Molestia who also has a tentacle rape picture in their portfolio).
Jesusfuckchrist. Why don’t you stop being such armchair activist and stop bitching about a Softcore porn tumblr and try to raise awareness about REAL Rapes against REAL people?
That whole fucking “Campaign” is stupid as hell.
@guywithstuff
I would love to say I wanted to stop this conversation because it was getting late and your Bs has been around all day and I was sick of it within an hour of hearing about it, but that would be lying.
I would actually be thrilled to end it here with no justifications beyond pure boredom.
So, guywithstuff, I’ll leave you with this:
It looks like a dead bird, but I assure you it is not. Isn’t that interesting?
@guywithstuff
The difference between “joke-ish non-consensual” and rape?
Joke-ish non-consensual is just what it says. Non-consensual sex with an air of humor about it.
Whereas actual rape is horrific and mind-scarring. It’s not funny or joke-ish at all.
Really, I find these alleged “rape jokes” to be somewhat humorous, but I still hate actual rape. Why? Because there’s a large difference between “rape jokes” and actual rape, like I described above.
But we’re getting off topic here and your arguments are becoming fallacious, so I’m going to call it quits and stop feeding the troll.
@guywithstuff
What’s your point? Sure, “50,000 people”, but the point still stands that it’s not meant to be taken seriously. Says it right on the blog page.
Yet all these whiners and armchair activists are making it out to be some horrible blog that promotes rape or something. They’re fabricating an issue and then blowing it way out of proportion to make themselves look like victims.
And then going even further to generalize that the entire fandom is rapists and “rape supporters” because of one blog. Because, you know, rape jokes are really only something only bronies do, right? Totally never happens anywhere else. Nope. Only bronies. Yay, ignorance.
Also, there’s a very large difference between “joke-ish non-consensual” and “rape”. Just saying.
Your entire tirade to this point (at least when you’re not contradicting yourself) is how rape can never be joked about and isn’t funny no matter what.
You then said that all of the other things can be in certain circumstances. What conclusions do you expect to be drawn, exactly?
