Well, we’re getting more and more hints at it. I see a rather big pile of bits behind her at the kissing booth.
 
The reason I point it out, anyway, is because the idea is interesting, and likely to spread the popularity of the character. It’s more than a mere hint. They literally intend for her to be one, but they couldn’t outright say it in the comic.
 
So, it’s up to someone to get the word around…

Andy Price and I go to the same comic shop.
 
I was at his first signing for MLP, at said comic shop.
 
He and his wife told me, specifically, why they put her under a lamppost in #1. Because they thought she had a hooker name.
 
Ever since then, they’ve run with it, partially because they really liked the idea, and partially because everyone there thought it was kind of funny, including me.
 
Of course, to say that is all she is would be a great injustice.

I like to think that she is a mare of many talents. She loves to sing because she enjoys it and is good at it. She makes ice cream because she’s a creative soul, and has a sweet tooth. She’s a prostitute because she likes sex. And she’s a sweetheart because she’s a soul of fun. Sweet is in her name, and she lives up to it.

My idea is that there is a lot more to her than just being a prostitute. She may be a prostitute, but that is not the only thing about her. It’s only one facet of her.
