After a fashion, yes. The painting Bolero was based off of Ravel’s Bolero, and each colour is tied to a certain note and pitch. So in essence, the painting is coloured sheet music.
 
Fun fact: The painting is the result of horrible dementia.

That would actually be a hardcore badass thing to do, composing in a medium where you and the audience perceive the result in completely different fashions.
