I insult the POS machine in our store everyday for being slower than my computer.
Talking with objects is a common thing, it’s mostly a coping strategy to deal with loneliness. When taken to the extreme it does become a problem; I’m in therapy because I talk to the open air for hours a day to the point where it replaces social interaction, and the antipsychotics weren’t helping.
Yeah, coherent dialogue like this is something you’ll see more with maladaptive daydreaming, which is more associated with schizoid personality disorder rather than schizophrenia.
