In the army probably but Navy and Marines no way, I know several guys in both branches and they have nothing to say but good things about their command.
Also you just described the problems faced by all major militaries today, look at Russia’s first few months in Ukraine or China’s current force structure, these problems are not inherent to NATO.
(But at the end of the day we are on an MLP image board so arguing the exact semantics of Force structure makes no sense)

No, I think NATO would fail at pitched battles as well. They don’t have the logistics to fight more than a few, and their doctrine is based around the assumption that they will always control the air and rely on wunderwaffen to scare their opponents away, with no contingency plans for what happens when either of those things fail.

I mean as long as you are talking about fighting an insurgency you’re probably right. The problem that great military powers (NATO, Russia, China) have in the modern day is they plan to defeat their enemies in decisive open battles and never plan for the what happens if the enemy never commits to such a battle.
