either one of two of my friends ends up being DM, and sometimes they work together and come up with the craziest shit i swear. most epic one, Jesus is a Lich and you have to hunt down the objects his soul is bound to, one happened to be the severed head of John the Baptist, which was being kept in the North to help keep rot away, well not the north, more the North Pole. it was guarded by Santa Claus the “Titan of the Frozen North”

The best part about being a DM was seeing players try to exploit your designs just to nip them in the balls. Oh, you are checking every 5 paces for traps. That’s great. Meanwhile the town is on fire. Good job guys.

After we beat a particularly difficult boss - some overpowered vampire lord - I was so badly injured that the rat swarm that suddenly appeared (DM rolled a three, so that shit had to happen) killed me. Level 40+, killed by rats! RATS!

My best quest ever (I was usually DM) was when my half orc cleric (he was raised by a church after being abandoned) tried unsuccessfully to turn undead and then I grabbed a skeletons femur and started hitting the other skeletons with it and killed them all.

i remember one game my friends went out on the quest and i was in some randumb ass inn getting drunk and rolling for picking up girls, by the time they finished their quest i had been rejected a good 20 times and picked up a good 10-15 … don’t know what that many people were doing their but hay, it was funny :D

My group wasn’t serious at all. It took us half of high school to complete our quest, because most of the time we just dicked around. Good times…

It’s a little more advanced than that. There are character stats, classes, feats, abilities, etc. There’s alot there. It’s always good to start with a group of experienced people and let them show you how. It’s also important, however, to always make sure you don’t find a group that is super serious over the whole thing. That’s annoying as piss.
