i’ve been rolling this au idea around in my head for a little while;; i really like this one lol i’m excited to work with it!!!

When Twilight experiences an extreme magical surge in the middle of casting a difficult and precise time travel spell, she finds herself thrown centuries into the past instead of the week she’d initially planned. Equestria as she knows it doesn’t exist; the land is populated by small republics of ponies, governed independently rather than united under one kingdom. The Everfree forest is wild and sprawling, and the roads between republics are filled with danger.

Alone in an unfamiliar landscape, Twilight seeks out the only familiar faces alive during this time: the Princesses. What she finds, though, is not a pair of confident, powerful rulers, but a pair of inexperienced sisters around her age. Though Twilight was hoping for their guidance, the young Celestia and Luna tend to defer to her judgment, as she’s suddenly become the wisest and most experienced among them.
