Thing is, almost all r34 art gets uploaded here, while far less than half of SFW art does. But still people complain about the sea of unstoppable porn everywhere they’re forcibly submitted to.
 
I mean, I only intentionally agreed to view NSFW images, why am I being subjected to so many NSFW images I explicitly agreed to view, wwhhyyyy?

This is almost certainly the largest fandom for a western cartoon ever, even easily beating out the Avatar fandom, which is huge.

If this fandom has produced the most amount of R34 second only to Pokemon. Yet R34 only comprises of 10% images on this site. This fandom has produced quite a bit of artwork that very few other fandoms alone can achieve. And there is no sign of it slowing down. It’s amazing what these colourful little pastel equines can inspire.

I am well aware of this, I don’t have so much of an issue of porn existing as I am confused by WHY it makes up such a large percentage of art and fan fiction, I have been in big fandoms before and it’s unprecidented to me for it to be this much of a fandom. Especially when it’s a fandom centered around cartoon horses, and not even the usual anthro stuff furries latch onto. I mean hell look at /mlp/ that’s one of the biggest boards in the fandom and it’s at least 80% fetish threads at all times.

That’s kinda the point. When you talk about everything, it’s not just the big stuff that counts, it’s also any webcomic you could name out of thousands if not tens of thousands or some obscure manga nobody else has ever heard of.

It still baffles me that a fandom about candy colored horses is as porn filled as it is, and has only become more so as the years have gone by. I actually remember when the original ponibooru didn’t allow even porn for like at least half of it’s existence.
