ATIL that Grévy’s zebras have 13 month gestation periods. (It popped up on the sidebar when googling “the Grévy’s zebra”. It’s also the most endangered of the three zebra species.  v.v ) And the other two species of zebra, mountain and plains, have 11-13 and 12 month gestation periods respectively.

So one way or the other, Anon (or, at least this timeline/universe of him) has a ways ahead of him!

Now, the question is… Was Anon actually dating Zecora, or did this all just basically get sprung on him (in the best of ways!*)?

Can’t argue against expanding the zebra pop. being neat, though…

Thanks! It’s actually based on a real zebra species, the Grévy’s zebra, but I exaggerated the brownness quite a bit. Reason being, I thought it was kind of a funny contrast. Zecora is almost universally shown as a black or brown character when humanized yet is gray and white as a zebra, so I thought it was funny that zebra GMHAA, a white character, was brown as a zebra instead XD

Can we just stop to mention how good Anonzebra looks?

I probably should’ve mentioned that on the original piece, but then, I was glancing at this piece earlier today, and it didn’t hit me until looking at it again now. Like… it just turned out really well, in my opinion. Honestly, I guess a brown (tan? brown-scale?) zebra just looks pretty good, like it naturally fits. Something about it also being a neutral color, maybe. As for Anonazeeb in particular, though, I particularly like the cheek markings - cute, soft/curvy, and another neat little way to give him a bit of extra differentiation from being a copy of Zecora’s design, like his mane stripe patterning. (And his mane continues to be messy, as things should be.)

I expect the kids to be cute. :3
