Dragons are typically very long lived in most media that features dragons as a species, but I don’t think that MLP’s dragons are necessarily “immortal”, and while they would likely live many centuries, whether they would live 1000 years or longer would be debatable.

Celestia, Luna and Discord were all over a millennium old. If anyone from FiM was going to live to the time of A New Generation, it would’ve been either one of those three, Twilight, Cadance or Flurry.
I mean, they DID establish what was 30 moons for Sunset in the human world was at least 120 moons in Equestria, especially without an active portal.
A.time moves slower
B.50 moons=2years×10 =500 moons =20 years
C. They don’t move the same equestria because it take place in the late 1800s give or take the first 3 seasons
