That's not a stupid question and you shouldn't be afraid to ask.
To answer it, there's a "Report" tab below the tags and source. If the duplicate image hasn't been automatically reported, you can manually enter the post number into which the image should be merged into in "Updating/merging" (which I already did, so you don't have to worry about it, it can just take time sometimes).
