I know the difference between *voltages* and *volts* are different - and I do use `V` for both; this is really common where I live.
"The unit for voltage (V) is *volts* (V)."
In fact, because that voltages and volts are different concepts, the `V` symbol isn't ambiguous; the context would tell which it stands for! %||(Just keep *volumes* out of the equation... that's actually annoying.)||%
The symbols repeat all the time and we're okay with that. :P

I have seen `U` before; but `E` is just actually new to me! :D
