You only need two types of wires, one in, and one out. Depending on which direction you put them, they will have different effects on the nervous system, nerve impulses flow in one direction, so they can be interrupted or amplified based on the position of the anode and cathode.

If you make the current travel from the lower body to upper body it will actually numb pain. If the current goes from the upper body to the lower body, it will make all your muscles seize and cause pain. Not really up and down all the time, more like from your spine to your extremities.

I use transcutaneous electric neural stimulators to keep my chest and arms jacked, i need to work out my neck but i’m afraid to put the Tens unit close to my cervical spine.

I just thought you would be interested.
