Well, of course I was just exaggerating a little bit and I didn’t really mean it. And so you’re probably right, but:

By magical creatures I actually meant non-sapient races. And not dragons, centaurs, ponies, changelings, etc. I meant creatures like the Cockatrice, or the Manticore. All creatures that ended up in Tartarus because they were too dangerous. Without magic (and this is of course only reallife logic vs fictional logic) these creatures would have to be virtually defenseless. And what happens to defenseless creatures in the outside world? Usually not a good thing. ;-)
