I mostly consider ‘Make your Mark’ and ‘Tell your Tale’, the two TV shows produced by the same studio, to be the ‘official canon’ for the most part. In both regards, Sunny naturally knows very little about her own inherent abilities, and chances are one of the major plot elements of the upcoming series will be Sunny learning how to control her Alicorn magic properly.
She also definitely knows how to control the alicorn transform in the game that dropped yesterday. I doubt the game is canon (it would be hard to fit with what happened in the MYM special), but it does make i seem like someone at Hasbro forgot to hammer down the exact canon for this part of the lore.

The comics have never been all that well connected with the TV series. I consider that to be a separate universe entirely.
Once again, not necessarily. You forget the context of the image: when this issue occurred all ponies were experiencing issues with magic due to the Crystals glitching. As such, there would have literally been no way for Sunny to control her powers at that point even if she did know how to summon it.
