I dunno, it makes her less…well less then what she was, its not really her own fault in this case it’s Luna AND these evil moon shadows.
To me a person motivated by their own mindless jealousy getting more and more wicked as a result is more interesting then just some other evil force doing it for her, but thats just me really.
Well all the talk about Rarity and her lack of popularity, gotta say Rarity has the most complex personality in the show, at least when she’s the focus, she is a much stronger character than more popular ponies like Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. But this is a fandom and fandoms seem to always hold up the SO FANNY XD characters over everyone else.
What would make this comic series non canon if they killed Rarity off and replaced her with a new pony. That would make kids and bronies that like Rarity upset. But they won’t do that. Katie Cook said that she will not killed of any characters.
…Soooo…when Luna was changed she only did what she did because some evil things on the moon? wasn’t motivated by her jealousy, just sort of evil moon shadows who just talked to her and she was guilable enough to believe them?
I dunno I like the whole “she is the only one to blame” better really.
There were some more solemn moments (which sadly are ignored), like when she started singing a song to Twilight, or her treatment of Sweeite (besides when she had her carry their stuff), or when she offered to help Cadence with her hair dilemma.
