Sprout was a xenophobic idiot with too much power and a pushy mother.
Starlight had her feelings hurt because her friend left and she developed a complex about it. Starlight is very different from Sprout. Also we got to see Starlight’s “several redemptions”, while Sprout has made a single appearance in one movie.
@LaszlVFX
See, that requires a consideration for context. That can be a pretty tall order, especially for someone who argues that character arcs should mean nigh instantaneous 180°s & that exhibiting character flaws invalidates those arcs.
@Kiryu-Chan
He didn’t even count the fact that Discord in that episode literally unleashed a bugbear on the students 6 and risked them potentially getting killed by it. So I say, he deserved what he got.
Yeah, well, I don’t like Sprout, so I don’t care about him being redeemed. Even at her worst, Starlight is at least entertainingly bad instead of moronically bad.
Teams up with Discord, Trixie and Thorax to save Equestria while all the princesses and the mane 6 were kidnapped by Queen Chrysalis and the changelings
Encourages Twilight that giving Stygian a second chance instead of banishing him back to Limbo along with the pillars, risking loosing the elements of harmony is the best course of action against someone who was just blinded by envy and anger and had the remorse to change for the better
the show hasnt even started yet and yall pissin on sprout for doing nothing lol
also i love both of them and could not choose between them and i dont think slgs backstory is bad but starlight enslaved a town because of sunburst while sprout just wanted to be sherrif less so bc he wanted to kill all pegasi/unicorn
@Dex Stewart
That wouldn’t be that different from him walking up and standing next to Queen Haven, and the crystals lighting up and magic coming back right after he did that (which is what happened in the movie).
Don’t worry, Starlight. If Sprout is going to have a redemption arc, it’s going to be without magic. That way he can learn about de value of friendship without musing magic as a shortcut.
