Ah. I don’t watch The Simpsons so I wouldn’t know that. Always preferred Futurama.
It’s a real Simpsons prank call XD

Okay
Most likely Trixie, but it could have been Pinkie Pie. I’m also operating under the possibility that they may have teamed up, since nobody expecting THAT prankster duo would allow for some great pranks, with Trixie bring a much-needed edge to Pinkie’s pranks and Pinkie keeping Trixie’s pranks from becoming mean XD
That’ll definitely be her excuse when she gets called on it XD
XD
I know. I laughed my ass off when I first saw it. The same actor has several other standup bits you might like
That man is a genius XD
It’s kind of interesting with Trixie. I kind of think that was a deliberate role-reversal. The ponies she comes up against all have character types typically associated with bad characters. In most stories a character like Rainbow Dash would be a bully, Rarity would be a prissy vapid alpha bitch, Twilight would be a rich dumb know-it-all, and Applejack would be a dumb hillbilly, but MLP wrote them as genuinely good characters instead. Trixie on the other hand, in any other story, would be the heroic underdog like the Daniel LaRusso or the Rudy or the Rocky :P
The fates of Snips and Snails… I can see what you mean, when I stop to think about it. Huh. Interesting, interesting… I’ll try to keep that in mind, going forward.
I’m in a place where I totally understand the criticisms with the last few seasons, and especially the last few episodes, and I even agree with a lot of them, but overall I don’t think it came even close to “ruining” the show. If anything, the twist in the finale was totally in-line with their characters since them letting their friends get away with awful things and then turning around and condemning non-friends for doing it or letting others take all the blame and consequences for their friends’ actions is nothing new. They’ve been doing that as early as Boast Busters, like that’s just the kind of show it is. It’s like when people were pissed off by the 9/11 joke in Rick and Morty, like yeah it was a really tasteless joke but have those people seen the rest of that show like King Jellybean or the love potion? :P
Well, suffice to say that I have my own opinions on how the ending of the show was handled, but I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’m also one of those sillies that has overall downcast opinions on how the episodes felt after a point, but still, I’m sure I’ll get around to watching the rest someday. ‘Till then, I like playing around with bits and pieces of what I’ve already seen / been spoiled, as well as lurking in the background while seeing awesome and creative stuff still getting made by names old and new alike. I’m also working on my own stuff in the background that I’d like to share one day, but I’m also slower than uphill molasses. : P
The final two seasons are good, but they are kind of flawed. They kind of pushed the old “It’s just a kid’s show don’t overthink it” angle a little too far I think, but they also did a lot of things I liked. The final episode is really nice too, like it’s clearly written for the people who were the target age group when the show began and watched it throughout, and were 17 or 18 when the finale aired: it’s very much about how these characters have grown and moved on and are adults now and how this thing they had is now over, but it’s still an important part of them and they still have the memories and the friendships. It’s a really nice coming-of-age kind of thing that kind of melds the show being over with how these people are adults now, and I feel like it was really sadly overshadowed by a particularly nasty twist in the otherwise decent two-parter that came before it :P
XD
Sheesh. I haven’t actually seen anything past the Season 7 finale yet, so that’s… some things to look forward to.
In Dashie’s defense too, like she was just sort of volunteered for this by Twilight. Like, Twilight just sort of woke up one day and was like “I’m going to build a school, and my friends are going to work for it!” Then, when a guy was like “you guys are not teachers you have no clue what you’re doing I’m going to close this school” and Twilight was like “Whatever! I do what I want!” and wrote a new law to sidestep that completely. Next thing Dashie knew, she was expected to teach a class, care for students, and do all sorts of other pedagogical stuff with her own wants and needs and career now being a secondary concern for her. Heck, the one time she basically said “I don’t want to do this” she was insulted, chastised, and made to feel awful about herself until she gave in. In other words, she has no clue what she’s doing, no apparent choice in the matter, and when she tries to push back she’d insulted, so it’s hard to fault her for making a genuine effort even when she is effing it up XD
I… That poor, poor mare. It’s not that she’s never had the enthusiasm, she just has trouble pointing it in the right direction. Somepony should really get on that, rather than continuing to try and let her learn the lesson passively. Otherwise we might wind up with another 28 Pranks Later…
She’s trying, god bless her. Like, she thinks it’s a genuine friendship lesson to learn XD
Ah, no, I never did a picture of her, I’m afraid.
Is there a picture of Dixon? I’d love to know what she looks like.
