Flutters Hitchy Glimglam

I mean there is a comic currently going on where the creator is saying the writers screwed over the characters and completely destroyed. They made the AU comic to rebuttal the finale of the show. They have their own opinions they want to express, even if it disagrees with the canon. I’m pretty sure I can do the same. I never really say other people can’t like Discord, but I just wanna let people know why I don’t like him. I know whatever I say will not change anyone’s mind anyway. I honestly have a lot of fun pointing out Discord’s terribleness too. Again, poor Fluttershy is forced to be with an abusive person. Someone has to defend her. It’s better if Discord is only Fluttershy’s friend, or even pet. That’s more kinky anyway.

Being abusive and manipulative isn’t being chaotic. Discord can turn something alive to exist. He doesn’t need to pretend to be injured and treat other’s concerns for him like a joke. That’s not chaos that’s just being a jerk. Why does everyone use this defense anyway?

If you think about it, Discord is also kind of a Mary Sue. He was easily forgiven from the problem he caused himself. He is quickly liked by everyone after one apology. He continues to get away with many setbacks because he is just so powerful and because everyone just likes him so much. When he literally almost destroyed the school under Starlight’s care and made a bugbear attack literal children, Starlight was the one that apologized to him instead of the other way around. Kind of funny the Mary Sue has to be the humble one toward him, so what does that make him? Again, at least Starlight is likable. Discord is just a annoying and obnoxious. This really just proves how biased the fandom is. So it’s fine to hate on Starlight who actually tries her best to be a good pony, just because she was smart enough to figure out a way to exploit Twilight’s power? She didn’t beat Twilight. She found a way to work around against Twilight so she had the advantage. How does using one’s own intelligence make them a Mary Sue? Then Discord who literally abuses, lies, and manipulates others is forgiven over and over again because he… appeared in earlier season? They’re literally the same but people pamper Discord while Starlight gets the short end of the stick. Poor Starlight, she works so hard to be better but the fandom rather lets an abuser go scot-free while she gets all the hate because she is smart. She truly deserves better.

I have no idea whatever that power imbalances you’re talking about is. Discord is not that omnipotent. He got screwed over by a centaur for Celestia’s sake. Your last point actually makes me sad. You know what’s funny? I liked Discord before season 4. He was one of my favorite villains because I enjoyed his Joker-ish trolling personality. And I liked his antics even after his reformation. It was right after he betray everyone and Fluttershy, emphasis on Fluttershy, to Tirek, did I begin my hate toward him. I wished so, so much that he was the one tricking Tirek but he got his butt handed to him and lied there like a pathetic piece of noodle, and the worst of all, he was the one that did it all to himself. He became so pathetic and worthless I just couldn’t look at him on screen. I know he is popular but his following appearances never helped my opinions toward him. He either acts childish, self-absorbed, or obnoxious. He even actively hurts other and acts like he didn’t do any wrong like a misbehaving child afterward. Discord’s actions are always negative after his reformation, only exceptions being one episode and one small moment. I think no matter how popular he is, making him come back actually hurts him more than anything. He is just such a sad and pathetic little side character and my image of him will always be negative, especially after the finale. If only they went a different direction with him.
Well, I wrote a novel. Too bad I can’t publish it.
