I wish they’d do flavors. Like, if they’re going to color things rainbow make them taste like the colors, and if they’re going to be white make them like vanilla or something :D

Yeah. But I find it funny how Skittles basically does the opposite, where all the other corporations rainbow up in Gay Pride Month, Skittles just goes plain white.

Yeah. I’m bi myself, and I personally find queerwashing characters who weren’t written as LGBT to be one of the worst trends in modern pop culture.

Like, I’m not a fan of Star Trek, but I heard a few years ago that they were making Hikari Kato Sulu gay, and George Takei (the man who played Sulu in the original series, and a beloved gay celebrity IRL) spoke out against the change, stating that Sulu shouldn’t be gay because that’s not how he was written, and I totally agree with that stance.

I’d definitely agree with that. Keep in mind I say this as a gay man irl, but I’ve always really been annoyed when a creator goes on social media and claims “x character is gay or bi or a lesbian or trans or whatever” yet it wasn’t shown at all in the work. It strikes me as a total “wants points for nothing” kind of thing, like they weren’t willing and/or able to actually show it in the work but they still want to be cheered on for creating LGBTQ+ characters. Like, put it in the work even if it’s fairly subtle, or just don’t make that claim at all :P

I’m very much a “death of the author” type of person. If something’s in the media you’re watching or reading, then it’s canon, but in regards to what’s not explicitly shown or stated, the original writer’s interpretation is no more or less valid than my interpretation or yours.

She’s very pretty. I’ve always been very fond of characters who are always happy and positive without being the manic Pinkie Pie / Mable Pines type happy and positive. Not that I don’t like those characters, but love the more simplistically positive ones a lot more :D

We’re basically at the point where Derpy belongs to the fans and there’s nothing her creators can do about it. Like, I’m pretty sure God himself could come down and tell us that her name was Muffins, she wasn’t Dinky’s mom, and she wasn’t dating Doctor Whooves… and we’d almost unanimously tell him to his face he was wrong XD

In canon, neither. He’s clearly friends with Derpy (seen in the Slice of life episode), but there doesn’t seem to be much of a romantic connection there. As for Doc and Rose, yes they’ve been seen together, but just in the background, so the details aren’t really clear.

I wonder if the doctor is with derpy or rose in the mlp cannon. In one episode i think dr and roseluck went on a date to the movies

Derpy dresses up well. She goes with pretty much any color of clothes because hers is pretty neutral. I picked blues though to go with her dress’s water theme to match her bubbles cutie mark :D
