The story upon rereading is quite corny at times. That said, it still has some very good bits, like the part with Fluttershy and the orphan foals, those descriptions can make me tear up in 10-seconds flat. It would be cool if Mr. Numbers would ever return to this world even if only for short one-shot stories.
