I wonder if they intentionally did that with the ears and fire motif to kind of make her look like a devil, adding to the whole bad girl/hellion angle.

I now notice the eyes are a lot smaller than on the New York Times reveal artwork.
 
Also, the cutie mark on her cheek is barely noticeable and very unclear.

Sunset Shimmer should be the badass with a heart of gold.

She looks pretty at least.. though, slightly bitchy looking.

The artist totally respected the crappy aspect of EG.

It looks BETTER than the original artwork, I must say.

Well guys I have a theory regarding how Sunset Shimmer might link FiM and EqG.
 
I know it was said EqG its a spin off but remember that at this moment it just a movie, according what it was said on the NYT toy fair. And pretty the synopsis given by that toy magazine points toward that the Mane 6 will enter into some sort of portal and transforms into human.
 
Now think…if Sunset Shimmer was Celestia’s student and becomes “evil”. Where she have been all of this time? Could this mean that Sunset Shimmer was in the human world and comes back to Equestria and do something and in order to stop her the mane 6 has to follow her to the human world or something??
 
Well pretty much thats what i think so unless EqG becomes a spin off series and not just movie. So far this Equestria Girls thing will be linked to the FiM universe.

I am NOT liking the evidence pointing to Sunset Shimmer being a villain.

Well she looks like one of those bad girls that don’t follow the rules.

I question whether it’s real because it doesn’t look like shit.
