In this continuity it’s basically like stamina, or qi. Her species just has the ability to quantify and trade it. They’ll even teach you tactics to replenish it faster via nutrition and balance, if it means making you spend more, and they even offer a form of credit card for it. Don’t ever use it XD

I mean… That’s very much not the case. GMHAA gave up a portion of his life force to summon her for his own (admittedly very minor) benefit, and he bought some coffee for her to make up for making her sit through a long and boring car ride with him, instead of just summoning her after arriving at wherever they’re going.

At least gmhaa told kim stone ass gas or grass. I wonder which one Kim would choose?

He’s actually cheating the system in a way. He summons them for such small tasks that he recovers life force faster than he’s spending it so, in a way, it really isn’t costing him anything and he can do it as much as he wants. Their queen is okay with because she wants summoning to become a familiar concept since she figures it’ll lead to far more people summoning them. She just keeps sending Kim to this guy’s summons since she figures Kim needs to lighten up, and also because she thinks it’s funny as hell :P

She’s definitely not a bad person. Just an attitude. She gets huffy when she gets hauled all the way up from Tartarus just to do stupid stuff she feels is beneath her. It’s certainly not an unreasonable reaction, though it should be noted she actually gets treated pretty well. Every time he summons her she gets treats, cake, s’mores, coffee, etc, and she’s certainly not summoned to do anything bad. He’ll summon her to sweep his floor, but it’s not like he’s summoning her to unplug his toilet XD

It’s definitely one of the dumber things they ever tried. In all my years of driving professionally, I’ve never seen a HOV lane with enough people in it that it would make any significant reduction in traffic. Hell, just opening that extra lane up so there was one extra general lane would help with the congestion in the other lanes quite a bit XD
