No idea how long the temporal gap is between FiM and MLP G5, but there’s, like, a 200-ish year gap between Zero and ZX.

I personally would have used Megaman X and Megaman Zero as the before and after, since they have a much clearer divide between them artistically. But I can understand why ZX was specifically used, since it has an all-new cast of characters.
