My description fits at once a number of characters of different races.
Yes, of course some unicorn background pony would be a fun choice too.
But I’m not exactly the one who would say that the sixth should be exactly the unicorn. Definitely not a pegasus, but it could still be an earth pony. I like Sunnycorn.

All five (six) of them differ from the previous six. You can already see this in the current five, although in places they bear some resemblance to mane6. But they are already too different from them. Just wait until the sixth is in the group and the difference becomes more obvious.

Actually, I think characteristically, Zipp is more like Apple Jack. She’s calm while facing difficulties, comforts other ponies when they’re sad, loves the truth, and hates the phony royal flying scam. On the other hoof, Hitch is more like Rainbow Dash, being kind of too full of himself at times, and loving being honored and looked up to. He’s more like Rainbow Dash with Fluttershy’s animal powers, and also a little bit of Quibbles.
