In “Three’s a Crowd” and “Twilight’s Kingdom” Twilight and Discord explicitly state that they’re friends. Discord likes messing with Twilight but also helps her out a lot, even if his help is done in mean, aggravating and overly-complicated ways.

Fluttercord shippers have warped fans’ view of Discord to the point so many people are forgetting that Fluttershy isn’t Discord’s only friend facepalm Even in the famous fluttercord episode where Discord gets jealous over Fluttershy hanging out with Treehugger, it’s also stated that he’s now friends with Celestia.
