Exactly. Usually stupidity follows with meme creation all the time depending on how funny or dull the meme is and boy is this one of them. I’m aware of the silliness of random memes coming into place, but looking for where it started helps more to have a better understanding of it.

It all started with this drawing from DeviantArt. As to why people chose this specific one to meme/redraw, because that’s just how memes work. People just randomly make anything a meme nowadays. :P
