Another good tactic for fans if you are lacking a ice or a source of something cold is to put water on your face.
Sit in front of the fan for a sec.
Trust me its like having air conditioning if you dont mind getting wet for a second.
Put a bucket of ice in front of the fan. Cold air needs to circulate to cool more effectively, especially in humid climates
