That was probably brought up at some point, but the mimic raised the salient point that, monster or not, they’re still technically packages and Equestria’s postal service has no specific law against mailing a package that’s also a mimic, so she just shrugged and tossed it in the wagon XD

Honestly, I’m not too sure about in D&D, because not only are there a ton of revisions but every group of people who plays it plays it different. My idea, at least with the ones I do for MLP, is that each one has a different form based on where they inhabit, and it can basically be anything that can open and close with a jaw / lid.

It actually does in Amazon’s actual logo. The idea why mine doesn’t is I wanted the logo to look wrong, because I like the idea that they all have some inaccuracy about their appearance from the real thing. So a real Amarezon box would have the arrow go from A to Z and no fangs in the design. Like those Chinese bootleg products that fake the UL symbol to try to trick you into thinking they passed safety standards when really you’re buying unsafe garbage XD  

It feels odd that the smiley arrow in the logo doesn’t point from an A to the Z tho. :d

That’s the fun part about mimics. They can basically be anything. When I go to design one I just aim for anything that, in even the most vaguest sense possible, has some kind of door or a lid or anything like that which can appear innocuous. So most kinds of furniture would work, boxes, crates, vehicles, books or laptops even, the list goes on. Like, an air vent or an AC unit or anything would totally work :D
