More fluffiness! ÓwÒ (and hi, I’m back XP)
 
 
SO! It’s RD and Soarin time baby! This is their little story. ⬇️
 
Their relationship isn’t all that complex like the others. After Soarin got his a$$ saved by RD a couple times (when he dropped his pie, and when he was falling out the sky at Rainbow Falls… this also can include the times RD help save Equestria with the other six too) and once RD joined the Wonderbolts fair and square, Soarin was a bit tempted to befriend RD personally. Believe it or not, Soarin did catch some feelings for Dash and almost became a hard-core fan, but he knows better and just left himself to be a normal sane fan. So all of this definitely boosted Soarin to form any type of bond with her. At first he was a bit timid as he thought RD was too cool to be his friend. But once he finally got out of his shell to talk, he and Rainbow conversed pretty well.
 
At first for Rainbow, she was going crazy in the head that more of her idols were talking to her willingly (and not her yelling in their faces, saying how cool they are). Because of this, RD felt more inclined to become Soarin’s friend and try to grow a close friendship with him too, like she already did with Spitfire and Fleetfoot. It was exciting for the both of them as they saw potential with this relationship and was surprised to why they haven’t talked more before. During their little friendship growth, Soarin couldn’t really take it a step further because, first of all, the relationship was still young and second of all, RD was dating AJ. Soarin still didn’t know RD’s sexuality yet, so he just wanted to keep it safe from flirting or anything hinting at sexual interest and just respected RD (and also because she was dating in general). However, he occasionally did ask her if they could chat at lunch or talk/chill at some lounge, library, bar or cafe together.
 
Later, RD and AJ break up. Not because of anything bad. Just because it wasn’t going to work out, as RD had business up in Cloudsdale, while AJ had plans down in Sweet Apple Acres. They would’ve and could’ve been a thing if either or was the same species. RD was pretty bummed about it though, but she understood. At least her pegasus friends, such as Soarin, were there to lift her up and comfort her. Soarin still didn’t make a move yet, as it would seem foolish of him. He didn’t want it to seem like he was planning for this day to come. Soon, he finally asked RD her sexuality out of curiosity and respect, and hoped that it didn’t come out as too suspicious. She claimed she was pansexual, and Soarin was honest and told her that he was bisexual. RD was actually shocked as she assumed that he was more of a ladies man behind the scenes, but I guess with both genders now XP. They then had a fun little talk about past lovers and such, and RD herself was starting to feel a lot more comfortable around him now. Thus, they started admitting things and telling secrets; something that RD finds hard to even do to her closest friends. However, Soarin still hasn’t confessed his feelings yet.
 
Soarin was waiting for RD to feel the same way herself. He hated wanting to force anything on her, as she could abruptly find feelings for somepony at any time and anywhere. Howbeit, signs of her becoming more physically comfortable were becoming more prevalent, like RD would nudge him more, side hug or hug him less stiffly, and sit closer to him (if it was a bench or a couch or something). But Soarin was still unsure nevertheless. It was only until a year and a half later that RD started showing some flirtatious signs and teasing, but wouldn’t do anything physical towards him… yet… Pegasus are known to be pretty hyperactive (excited, in my HC), so it really doesn’t take long for a female to get attached to a male (as in pegasus can get married within a year later in a newly formed relationship, and be lovers for life). The process is even quicker if the male is more attractive or impressive, but as you can see, Soarin is very mediocre and RD is just hard to get.
 
Finally, Soarin would in fact, confess to RD, as she would respond with happy conflicted feelings. She wouldn’t have thought that a Legendary Wonderbolt like him would like a smol dorky pony like her (RD forgets that she’s one of the main Saviors of Equestria). She accepted his feelings and thought that it would be interesting if they did take a step further, and became boyfriend and girlfriend. They were comfortable about it and still took things slow. Heck, they still saw each other as friends, and forgot the whole bf and gf thing until one or the other pecked their cheek or started preening the other’s feathers. And keep in mind, RD is a lot more boyish than girly, so most of it would seem like Soarin was dating a man, lol XP. I mean, she would have her hair short, most of the time. It’s very rare that she would let it grow out. And thus, Soarin gave her the nickname, Lil’ Dude.
 
And yes, occasionally they’ll do the cutest and fluffiest stuff, like RD using Soarin as a nest bed. I mean, he’s so big and fluffy compared to her, she just cannot resist.

A few more years of their relationship goes by. The annual Grand Galloping Gala happens, and Soarin and RD go crazy that long night and get very intoxicated (from both wine and cider and with each other). SOO y’know what happens. Weeks later, RD is found pregnant with her first child, Cascade Rainbow Mist. After she’s born, half a year later they get married, and then have the rest of her CRAZY kids: Cloudy Cumulonimbus Contrail, Lightning Bolt Spectrum, Crimson Wind, Xanthia Sunshine, and lastly Azure Sky. Oh boy, is that a problem or WHAT?
