In theory, Celestia is over 1000 years old, she moved the sun and the moon (when she banished Nightmare Moon), so she should have that experience already, in addition to other stressful things. I feel like the writers forgot that part.

Princess Celestia’s used to talking to other ponies in reality. In this situation, she doesn’t have that; so, it makes sense that she’d feel a bit lost.
