Similar to how once upon a time Twilight had to make friends to deal with villains from Princess Celestia’s past, Luster Dawn finds herself teamed up with a belligerent foul-mouthed changeling to deal with a villain out to avenge a villain from Twilight Sparkle’s past :D
Yes, Luster Dawn calls him fuckhead as he leaves and, without magic, manages to stop his little alchemy experiment there thanks to something Trixie taught her: she can mix the sulfur, saltpeter, and charcoal he left lying around to make gunpowder and blow it up. The benefits of having a mother who makes pyrotechnics for her act :D

I roll with the idea that most of the hive said “so long screwy, see ya in St. Louie” when their choices boiled down to following Chrysalis or looking like a Jackson Pollock painting of a dung beetle. So there’s still a bunch of changelings out there that are normal and don’t look all gross, but aren’t evil either :P
If this is a James Bond reference, then I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Changeling boyfriend being a double agent.
I’m surprised the real Goldfinger only did that to one person. Perhaps that would make a good idea for a sequel and an opening for the next James Bond after Daniel Craig.
He certainly wasn’t a very good father. Too focused on his work to pay her any attention, his “work” is villainy, and really the only thing he ever taught her was “if you want something, take it and be able to destroy anyone who wants to stop you” :P
His big thing is the Philosopher’s Stone, and if anyone tries to stop him, turn THEM into gold. Though, screwing over countries by making their currency worthless or making their enemies very rich is always a good way to destabilize them for the long-term. Right now though, his thing is, if Celestia and Twilight thought it was neat to turn his kid to stone, he’s going to repay her for her efforts by basically turning everyone they care about to gold and make them the ruler and former ruler of the most worthlessly valuable kingdom in history :P

So his plan is to manufacture his own gold so that of Fort Knacks or whatever becomes worthless before Agent 007, aka Jacqueline Bon-Bon, can save the day? I’m surprised they haven’t expanded on her career as a secret agent more.

It’s an alchemic circle. Same one for gold. This guy’s whole bit is changing things to gold. Like most villains, if he just applied his skills legitimately he’d probably be a lot more successful than if he used them for evil, but villains gonna villain XD
Honestly, Cozy Glow is a messed up concept for a kid’s show no matter how you slice her, because of how the main characters just didn’t give her any thought. They weren’t scared, or angry, or surprised with her, like they treated her with complete indifference. Either children are born pure murderously evil so often in that world that the main characters had no emotional reaction whatsoever to her, or they are so malicious that they had no problem whatsoever taking some messed-up kid who needed help and basically locking her up in an animal cage for life and then, for all practical intents and purposes, killing her. Not to mention, like they didn’t care who she was, or where she came from, or why she was the way she was; people argue whether or not she deserved her fate and it honestly doesn’t matter because the way the main characters didn’t care either way is already so messed up that you basically can’t make it worse :P
I mean, he’s not wrong in reasoning that…
I think it’s my favorite out of all the Die Hard movies, though I really like all of them. Even the newest one where they’re in Russia which a lot of people dunked on I actually really liked :D

Imagine if he actually WAS trying to do good by the world, realized he had no hope in hell of changing her for the better, and then heard about this amazing new school that taught friendship and empathy and figured “it’s run by the group who refused to give up on the last two apparently irredeemable psychopaths they got their hooves on, so there’s no way they’ll just give up, declare her beyond redemption, and just throw her in a cage for the rest of her natural life” :P
But what if all that mattered was whether Cozy Glow was rejected from art school?
Stop making me think of Cozy Glow as Michael Myers! It only makes me want to see her in a William Shatner mask. :P
But if that’s the case, how are we so sure he could kill her? She is too cunning. What if she kills her own father instead.

But I doubt he would have been able to get off on a self defense plea unless his life were truly in danger. Though one alternative could have been that she could have been committed.
It takes a great deal of evidence overwhelmingly in favor of the prosecution in order for them to win a criminal case, at least where I come from. Though I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice.
Or he could’ve been a better parent instead of only caring about her when she already turned into a stone and it’s too late to exact revenge. :P
There’s probably some way to reverse an alchemic transmutation like that :D
So does that mean that there could exist a spell to dissolve the gold (or iron) on the horns without altering their atomic properties per se? That may make more sense.
