It’s a bit densely laid-out but I like seeing an actual turn in the story instead of reinforcing that Dash is angry and frustrated for the Nth time.
 
I’m a little surprised to see Fluttershy be so assertive since this is of course set before all those episodes which had the same plot of her learning not to be so wimpy, but she said it herself; it’s different when it’s just Dash.

To be completely honest, I’ve felt Rainbow Dash represents her Element the least of all the Mane Cast. I’d even rank her behind Applejack and Twilight in terms of Loyalty.

I’ll be honest, the idea of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy being friends before the start of the series always seems weird to me. They just knew so little about each other at the start.
 
And I really can’t buy Fluttershy being that withdrawn if Rainbow had been spending any time around her.

I haven’t liked this comic so far, but this page is better.
 
I mean, RD as a self-centered pony? yeah, we get that in the show. But she’s also the element of loyalty. I think she would, at least, keep tabs with Fluttershy when they separated.
 
But that’s just my opinion. And I’m drunk, so it doesn’t really count.
